| HIST | He died of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. He had a motorcycle accident in May and was in a coma for a month. Date Published: June 26, 2009 AARON WAYNE ROSS Wayne Ross, 57, husband of Brenda L. Ross, and son of Mary J. and the late Jack Ross, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 22, 2009, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School Class of 1971 and a retired truck driver. Dedicated to his family, he never let a day go by that he didn't tell his family that he loved them. He touched so many lives and will be missed by all. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Robert J. Kirk (Mary Ann Spivey) of Florence; a daughter, Angelia M. Kirk of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Courtney McElveen (Jonathan) and Christian Kirk; a brother, Ronnie Ross of Manning; two sisters, Jackie Doubleman (Mickey) of Cullman, Ala., and Nancy Nunnery (Ricky) of Sumter; his mother-in-law, Beatrice Johnson of Sumter; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crosspoint Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sorrells and Maj. Newt Brown officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Crosspoint Baptist Church and other times at the home of his sister, Nancy Nunnery, 30 Delray St. The family requests that memorials be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 W.
