Donna Marie Thames Ward, 57, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at her home in Sumter.
Born June 5, 1952, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Shuford "Jack" and Lillian Gunter Thames. She was retired from T&W Feed and Seed, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Marie Ward Lee (Bubba) and Rebecca Ward of Sumter; three grandchildren, Chase Ward, Brandon Lee and Jennifer Lee; a brother, Kenneth Thames of Midway, Ga.; and longtime friend, Julie Franklin.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. William Kevin Cribb officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Bubba and Marie Lee, 1730 Myrtle Beach Highway, Sumter.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA, 1140 S. Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
