Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Sylvia "Sibbie" Murrell McFaddin and the late Hugh Frank McFaddin. Mrs. Byce was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church in Greenville. She was a graduate of Wilson Hall School and Furman University. Beth was a loving daughter and mother. Surviving along with her mother of Sumter are a son, Kent McFaddin Byce of Simpsonville; a daughter, Elizabeth Byce Richardson (Caleb) of Clemson; and a brother, Mike McFaddin (Pam) of North Augusta. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sardinia-Gable Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Peake officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.sumterfunerals.com.
