Born Oct. 11, 1942, at home in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Gary O'dell Boykin and Kate Morris Boykin. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ronald Willard Catoe (Veronica) and Christopher Michael Catoe (Melissa), all of Dalzell; five grandchildren, Noah Catoe (Caylie), Thomas Catoe (Abby), Israel Catoe, Christina Catoe and Will Catoe; a great-grandson, Noah Simon Catoe; a sister, Betty Boykin Baker (Jerry) of Camden; a sister-in-law, Cindy Boykin; and a special friend, Charles Elmore. She was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Gary O. Boykin Jr. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Stines officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, c/o Harriett Troublefield, 1690 Stuckeytown Road, Rembert, SC 29128.
