Mrs. Kennedy was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Stuart Dutton and Bessie Edens Norton Lane. She was a graduate of Kingstree schools and Draughn's Business College. She was a Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Kraft Co. and was engaged in farming. Surviving are her daughter, Alma Martin; grandson, Brandon Martin; sisters, Serena Coward and Bliss Mooneyhan; brother, the Rev. Dr. Stewart Lynburg "Lindy" Lane and his wife, Lib; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
