| HIST | MACK GEDDINGS MANNING -- Mack Edward Geddings, 69, husband of the late Hazel Ruth Goodlett Geddings, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his home. Born May 5, 1940, in Sumter, he was the son of the late Jim W. Geddings Sr. and the late Dorothy Mae Brown Geddings. He was an Air Force veteran, a retired Clarendon County sheriff's deputy and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a sister, Henrietta "Henri" Geddings and fiancé Thomas M. Nichols of West Long Branch, N.J.; a brother, Jim W. Geddings and friend Dot Ardis of Sumter; stepson, Marty Ramsey and wife Jennifer of Manning; two step-grandchildren; and beloved Jack Russell, "Peanut." A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park in Sumter, with the Rev. Dale Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be law enforcement officers. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
