| HIST | MARK A. COMPTON Mark Allen Compton, 48, husband of Allison DeLury Compton, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Providence Hospital North in Richland. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Carolyn Guess Compton and the late Tommy Compton. Mr. Compton often quoted, "I can fix anything from a broken heart to a rainbow." Survivors include his wife of Sumter; three sons, Dusty Compton (Danielle), Jabo Compton and Kelly Compton, all of Sumter; a daughter, Brittaney Trull of Sumter; a sister, Susan Daughrity of Sumter; a brother, Ken Rast of Manning; two grandchildren; a special friend, Rachel Spiegel of Sumter; and his dog, Rimshot. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 3514 Susan St., Sumter.
