| HIST | HELEN W. LLOYD BISHOPVILLE - Mrs. Helen Watford Lloyd, 88, of Hillcrest Circle, Bishopville, entered the presence of God for eternity on Wednesday evening, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Oakbrook Health and Rehab Center in Summerville. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Mr. William Curtis Lloyd. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday from Welch Creek Baptist Church, 536 Welch Creek Road, Walterboro, with the Rev. James Baker officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lloyd was the first child born to the late Lonnie E. Watford and the late Gracie Tallon Watford of Darlington County. She was a retired licensed practical nurse having retired from Briggs Nursing Center in Summerton. Mrs. Lloyd was totally dedicated to those she loved and was a giver with a servant's attitude. Her entire life, she helped raise many others' children and was affectionately known to many as "Aunt Helen." Her cooking was the absolute best and that was her passion - to feed all well. Survivors include her three children, Queenie Louise Jones of Orlando, Fla., Harold Wayne Rucker Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Bishopville and Curtis Russell Lloyd and his wife, Karen, of Summerville; two brothers, Lonnie E. Watford Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Camden and Francis Watford and his wife, Diane, of Sumter; five grandchildren, Rick Jones, Annette Claudy, Wayne Rucker, Rusty Lloyd and Will Lloyd; four great grandchildren, Corey Jones, Kyle Claudy, Ryan Claudy and Tyler Claudy; a neighbor and one she loved as her own, Judy Jones and her husband, Herman, and family of Bishopville. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Watford, Harold Watford, James Levan Watford and Leroy Watford; two sisters, Joann Watford McAllister and Vera Watford Schaffer; and a son-in-law, Edward Jones. Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Welch Creek Baptist Church, for use with their cemetery fund, 536 Welch Creek Road, Walterboro, S.C. 29488.
