| HIST | LILA MAY T. COBB Posted Wednesday, August 30, 2017 6:00 am Lila May Taylor Cobb, age 84, beloved wife of the late George Donald Cobb, died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at her residence. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Willis Herbert Taylor and Frankie Gertrude Montgomery Taylor. Lila was an avid bridge player and loved to travel with her friends. She was in the craft business. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Don Cobb of Sumter; brother-in-law, Edgar Marion Steinhilper of Sumter; two grandchildren, Donald Michael Cobb and Misty Dawn Cobb Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Grace Morris and Dylan Alexander Smith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Litia Steinhilper. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. The Aldersgate Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Bullock Funeral Home.
