| HIST | Is this the correct Ken Oliver who is the father of Kevin WIlliam Oliver? jkh of Sumter, South Carolina Kenneth W. Oliver Kenneth W. Oliver, 56, husband of Judith Carolyn Oliver, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at his home. Born in Omaha, Neb., he was a son of Dorothy Harford Oliver and the late Keith L. Oliver. Mr. Oliver was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and APEX Tool Group. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 24 years; his mother of Mack Creek, Mo.; two children, Cheryl Dorr (Jimmy II) and Kevin Oliver (Jennifer), both of Sumter; two grandchildren, Emily and Hannah Dorr, and an additional grandchild expected; two sisters, Sonia Oliver of California, Mo., and Susan Landreth (Randy) of Richmond, Mo.; a special friend who was like a brother, Steve Meyers of Sumter; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Holliday Jr., Joey Holliday, Brad Holliday, Ryan Ross, Carl Mims and Lloyd Crisman. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, 302 N. Wise Drive, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
