| HIST | of Charleston, South Carolina William C. Ardis Jr. William C. "Will" Ardis Jr., husband of Doris Burrows, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at his home. Born in Manning, he was a son of the late William C. Sr. and Dena Geddings Ardis. He attended Dalzell Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; a brother, Jimmy Brunson of Paxville; and two sisters, Bea Broadway (Dale) of Cheraw and Kathy Mayer (Gene) of Burgettstown, Pa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Brunson. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Phillips Episcopal Church cemetery at Bradford Springs with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Dalzell Baptist Church, P.O. Box 68, Dalzell, SC 29040. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. Probably Paxville. Her son Jerry is dead. Her daughter Beatrice (Bea) is married to Dale Broadway. Her daughter Katherine (Kathy) is married to Gene Mayer. Her late son Will the Third was married to Holly. Will's obituary incorrectly lists him as Junior and the wife of Doris Burrows. Will married Holly in April of 1983 in Charleston County, SC. They never divorced. Doris was one of Will's girlfriends on and off throughout his marriage to Holly. I am not sure if Jimmy ever married. Dena currently has a memorial on FindAGrave.com. James M.
