The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late William S. "Tripp" Stanley, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward N. Frenz and Mrs. Janet H. Stanley and the late William S. Stanley Jr., all of Sumter. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a bachelor's degree. She is employed as a substitute teacher by Sumter School District 17. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Holmes of Dayton, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Ted M. Sowders of Indianapolis, Ind. He is a senior airman in the United States Air Force stationed at Shaw AFB. The wedding is planned for March 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Sumter.
