Shawn Timothy Stewart, 39, husband of Tori Schraut Stewart, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at his home. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Arthur Robert Stewart and Holly Anne Schenk. Drag racing was his hobby and he enjoyed driving and setting up his cars. Survivors besides his wife include his mother of Waxhaw, N.C.; his father and stepmother, Mary Stewart of Sumter; four children, Justin Arthur Stewart, Zoë Evelyn Stewart and Austin Marie Barnhill, all of the home, and Alexander Terry Stewart of Mooresville, N.C.; four brothers, Christopher Stewart of Waxhaw, Michael Vernon Bonner (Robin) of Augusta, Ga., Charles Scott Bonner and Adam Nicholas Stewart, both of Sumter; and one sister, Amanda Roupe (Brent) of Sumter. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Bower officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
