| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina ELIZABETH STEWART KNIGHT Posted Tuesday, August 10, 2021 6:00 am Elizabeth Stewart "Betty" Knight, 82, wife of Dewey "Dickie" Knight of Sumter, died on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Sumter. Born in Bennettsville, she was a daughter of the late Lex Monroe Stewart and Fannie Mae Stubbs Stewart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Michael Knight (Kim), Steve Knight (Cheryl), John Knight (Linda) and Charles Knight (Tammy), all of Sumter; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hope Knight Peavy. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
