I am making her a Holliday. jkh BETTY JEAN HOLLIDAY SHERMAN Posted Tuesday, April 9, 2019 6:00 am Betty Jean Holliday Sherman, 69, widow of Joseph Sherman, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on June 10, 1949, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Marshall Lamar Holliday and Dorothy Jean Kirby Holliday. She was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a son, Bradley Holliday (Nicole) of Sumter; a grandson, Christopher McLeod; a sister, Carol Oliver of Sumter; five brothers, Bobby Holliday, Tommy Holliday (Delores), David Holliday, Ronnie Holliday and Donnie Holliday, all of Sumter; a sister-in-law, Reda Holliday of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa McLeod; and a brother, Michael "Doc" Holliday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be at Manning Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene and other times at the home of her son, 881 Trailmore Circle. Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, 300 N. Wise Drive, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
