| HIST | William O. Holladay MANNING - William Owens "Bill" Holladay, 54, died Friday, May 27, 2011, in Williamsburg County. Born Dec. 5, 1956, in Manning, he was a son of the late James Nelson Holladay Sr. and Ida Ruth Copeland Holladay. He was an electrician, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Union United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Linda H. Harrelson (Sammie) of Moncks Corner and Sandra H. Cross (Jack) of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Jimmy Holladay (Harriett) of Manning; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Sarah Shuler Holladay. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Union United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Lionel Marion Holladay, Danny Holladay, Michael Johnson, Ken Holladay, Montey Cross, Chad Cross, Glenn Overstreet and Carlisle Ardis. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 780, Manning, 29102.
