Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of the late the Rev. Emil Cornelius Wittig and Alice Jacobsen Wittig. Mr. Wittig attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two brothers, Steve Wittig and Dave Wittig (Donna); three nieces, Anne Marie McKoy (Jason), Stephanie Neal (Keith) and Ashley Barnett (Luther); and a nephew, Danny Wittig. He was preceded in death by a niece, Jessica Wittig. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stuart Mizelle officiating.
