Born April 7, 1932, in Darlington, she was the daughter of the late Joe Googe and the late Elizabeth Googe. She was retired from years of service with the National Bank of S.C. She is survived by her sons, the Rev. Bennie Wadford (Linda) of Camden, Joe Wadford of Sumter and David Wadford (Robin) of Sumter; a daughter-in-law, Karen Wadford of Sumter; three grandchildren, Benjamin Wadford, Richard Wadford and Brandi Wadford; five great-grandchildren, Calvin Wadford, Reed Wadford, Olivia Wadford, Alyssa Wadford and Braylon Wadford; and two great-great-grandchildren, Bentlee Wadford and Drake Wadford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shuford B. Wadford; a brother, Joe W. Googe; a son, Bobby D. Wadford; and a grandson, Michael Wadford. A private graveside was held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1, 2, 3] | |
