Baker Perry Daniel Baker, 91, husband of Agnes Marie Baker, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Duncan Daniel Baker and Irene Prescott Baker. Baker was a member of Bethesda Church of God and was the owner of Baker Boykin Construction. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; five daughters, Barbara Elaine Johnson (Robert) of Sumter, Pamela Moseley of Lee County, Dianne Boykin of West Columbia, Wanda Rogers of Mayesville and Tammy Roberts of Lexington; two sons, Danny Boykin (Wanda) of Gable and Michael Boykin of Mayesville; one sister, Vivian Copeland of Hartsville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethesda Church of God with the Rev. H. Albert Sims Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Baker's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
