Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Clayton Baker and Maggie Baker Lambert. Mrs. Pugh was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was retired from Bethel Baptist Church Daycare. Survivors include her husband; three children, Michelle Jernigan (John) of Sumter, Robert D. Kelso II (Tiffany) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Derrika Kelso of Sumter; three grandchildren, three sisters, Elaine Bowersox (Randy) of Kinston, N.C., Yvonne Newman (Tommy) of Sumter, and Kathy West (Tracy) of Ninety Six; a brother, O.C. Baker (Holly) of Lindale, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Dustin C. Newman. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Sammy Thompson, Robert Morris and Arthur Sharpe officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, 1345 Cowboy Lane. Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
