| HIST | Thena Goff Thena Louise Wells Goff, 83, widow of Dillard Goff, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. Born in Pinewood, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ada Lowder Wells. Mrs. Goff was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church and was retired from Pioneer, Ltd. Surviving are one brother, Joseph Wells and wife, Betty, of Pinewood; one sister, Betty Garris and husband, Manford, of Sumter; three grandchildren, Chris Goff and wife, Jocelyn, and Lance Goff and wife, Rita, all of Sumter, and Jessica Blevins and husband, Matt, of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Goff of Springfield; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pinewood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randall Haase officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her grandson, 7 Edgewater Drive.
