| HIST | Wilma Miller Sill Rhame | Visit Guest Book CAMDEN - A graveside service celebrating the life of Wilma Miller Sill Rhame, 94, of Camden, SC, formerly of Charleston, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, in Quaker Cemetery, Camden, SC. Born April 28, 1917, in Chester, SC, she was a daughter of the late John William Sill and Henrietta Hood Mobley. Educated in Chester County Schools, she graduated from Baron DeKalb High School (Kershaw County) as salutatorian of the senior class. She continued her education in the nursing program at Camden Memorial Hospital where she was certified as a registered nurse. Mrs. Rhame was an accomplished pianist, organist, bridge player and nurse. She was a member of the Rebecca Motte chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Charleston. Survivors are children, Judith Rhame Ford (Max), Camden, Robert Lowry Rhame Jr., Charleston; grandchildren, Robert Blake Ford (Laura), Columbia, Beth Ford Watson, Camden, Allen Rhame Ford (Lorrie), Camden, Moriah Rhame, Hanover, IL, Marnie Levens (Robin), New Cumberland, PA, Ashley Rhame, Huntsville, AL, Richard M. Rhame, Nashville, TN, numerous great-grandchildren, and brother, Roy H. Sill (Marie) of Camden. Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Rhame; sons, Richard M. Rhame, Michael L. Rhame; brothers, Edward, John, Robert; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Christmas. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Charleston, SC, where she served as organist and was a member of the choir. Memorials may be made to the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County, 810 Lyttleton St., Camden, SC 29020 or the Halford-Gandy Music Fund at Lyttleton St. United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton St., Camden, SC 29020. The family wishes to thank the staff at Morningside of Camden for the love and care they provided our mother during the last few years of her life.
