BENJAMIN TIMMONS Posted: Sunday, June 8, 2014 2:00 am Kristen Nicole Sublette of Sumter and Benjamin Lee Timmons of Johnsonville were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shepard Sublette Jr., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clifford Garrison and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shepard Sublette, all of Sumter. She graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in health science and from Central Carolina Technical College with an associate of science in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse by Palmetto Adult Medicine in Sumter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Timmons of Johnsonville, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Lee Feagin of Kingstree, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Taylor Timmons of Greeleyville, and Mrs. Gerry Outlaw and the late Mr. Alvin Thomas Outlaw of Georgetown. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a bachelor of science in biology with a chemistry minor. He is employed as a chemical engineer by Thompson Industrial Services in Sumter. The Rev. Raymond J. Fancher officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Hamilton Stoddard, organist; Mrs. Betsy Ridgeway, soloist; and Jon Hopkins, trumpeter. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a corded-lace circular cut ball gown accented with a gathered silk dupion waistband adorned with antique pearls and a cathedral-length train. She wore her mother's hand sewn lace and pearl trimmed veil and carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and babies' breath. Brittany Grooms Rogers and Sterling Winn Mitchum served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelli Nicole Becht, Ashleigh Elaine Duncan, Peyton Lambeth Garrison, Mary McKenzie Glenn, Annmarie Rose Kantz and Mary Katherine Lavender. The bridegroom's father, and his brother, Michael Wayne Timmons, Jr., served as best men. Groomsmen were Glenn Dale Garrison II, William Bert Garrison, Christopher Wayne Mitchum, James Glenn Rogers, Justin David Sherwood and Matthew David Willis. Also participating were Breanna Michelle Poston and Brennan Michael Poston. The reception was given by the bride's parents at their family pond house in Mayesville. The rehearsal dinner was given by the bridegroom's parents at Cains Mill in Sumter. Following a wedding trip to the islands of St. Maarten and St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Sumter.
