| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina MARGARET SOMERSETT CHAPMAN Posted Tuesday, December 8, 2020 6:00 am ALCOLU - Margaret Somersett Chapman, 70, died on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on Jan. 14, 1950, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Zeb and Pearl Davis Somersett. She was a member of Graham Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kristie Johnston of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Devon, Aliana and Damian; a brother, Myron Somersett (LuRose) of Alcolu; two sisters, Betty Siau (William) and Karen Brown (David), both of Alcolu; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ransome J. "Randy" Somersett. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brunson Cemetery with the Rev. John Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Betty and William Siau. Memorials may be made to Graham Baptist Church, 4000 U.S. 521 South, Sumter, SC 29153.
