Doris Marie Hutchinson Wilson LEXINGTON - A Celebration of Life for Doris Marie Hutchinson Wilson, 69, will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Chapin, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Born on June 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Cleve and Marie Hutchinson. She graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in 1961. Doris never met a stranger. She loved and cared for everyone. She was a member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship, enjoyed singing in the praise band, prison ministries and watching the Braves and Chapin Baseball. Granny Doris loved her grandchildren more than anything and made lots of memories with them. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, David Keitt Wilson; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Wanda Wilson of Lexington and Aubrey and Sandra Wilson of Hendersonville, NC; her son-in-law and daughter, Doug and Dawn Rister of Chapin; sister, Donna Carter; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Donna Hutchinson; grandchildren, Sara and Matthew Wilson, Benjamin and Stephen Wilson and Taylor, Tucker and Cooper Rister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Losing Is Not an Option Cancer Support Group", Lexington Medical Center, 2720 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169. Doris was active in Lexington Interfaith Christian Services (LICS). To honor her memory, please bring non-perishable items to the memorial service and the family will donate them to a food pantry. www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.net
