The bride is the daughter of Nelson and Sunny Johnson, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Ella Rae Jones and the late Lloyd D. Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jordan V. Johnson, all of Sumter. She is employed by Sumter School District as a teacher aide at Kingsbury Elementary School. The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Sharon DuBose and Mr. and Mrs. Early DuBose, and the grandson of Mrs. Irene Holmes and the late Liston B. Holmes and Mrs. Natalie DuBose and the late John E. DuBose, all of Sumter. He is employed as assistant store manager of Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. Pastor Rodney Howard and Pastor Charles Owens officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Gaye Howard, pianist; and Kate Howard and Kacey Archer, vocalists. Justin Felder served as reader. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a cascading cathedral-length veil of soft tulle edged in lace-like silver embroidery embellished with pearls, crystals and bugle beads and a Maggie Sottero strapless A-line gown with a corset closure of soft shimmer satin, a pleated bodice, a detachable band adorned with an exquisite floral and ribbon bouquet, and an asymmetrical train. She carried a French hand-tied bouquet of white roses accented with pink and yellow Gerber daisies wrapped in white satin ribbon. Lauren Felder served as maid of honor, with Mrs. Heather Stegall as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Logan Radney, Lindsey Gaughf, Megan Elliott, Blake Oliver, Stacey Mossor, Caroline Hancock, Kacey Archer and Mrs. Jessica Fralick. Lily DuBose, niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father, and Clay DuBose, brother of the bridegroom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Bryson Johnson, Justin Felder, Bert Lee, Richard Harrington, Randy Jones, Corey Geddings, Jared Smith and Chris Field. Junior groomsmen were Brennan Jones and Landon Jones. Carl Hutchinson served as usher. Hayden DuBose, nephew of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer. Also participating was Vic Brown. The bride's parents held the reception at the Sumter County Museum. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Sunset Country Club. Following a wedding cruise to Haiti, Jamaica, Caymen Islands and Cozumel, the couple resides in Sumter.
