| HIST | of Manning, South Carolina EDWARD T. MCNAIR Posted Sunday, May 21, 2017 6:00 am MANNING - Edward Tuttle McNair, 62, died on Friday, May 19, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Born on Oct. 21, 1954, in Manning, he was a son of Anne Tuttle McNair and the late John Carroll McNair. He was a member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his mother of Gable; a son, Edward Tuttle "Ted" McNair Jr., of Charleston; a daughter, Aiken McDowell McNair of Charleston; three brothers, John Carroll McNair Jr. (Jan) of Manning, William Bruce McNair (Janice) of Gable and Robert Lynn McNair of Gable; a sister, Sarah Anne McNair LeNoir of Sumter; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Mims McNair of Gable; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Kell McNair. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at New Harmony Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Gordon Reed officiating. Burial will follow in DuRant-New Harmony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Bleasdale, Lin Brunson, Harry DuRant, Gene DuRant, Tommy Wilson and Len Brown. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Harmony Presbyterian Church, 1174 New Harmony Church Road, Alcolu, SC 29001.
