The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Michael Ard, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Belew and Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Ard, all of Sumter. She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy. She is employed by Carolina Children's Dentistry of Sumter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hinson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, all of Pinewood, and the grandson of the Rev. Sim Smith and the late Carolyn Smith of Sumter and Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Hudson of Pinewood. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy. He is employed by Santee Cooper Power. The bridegroom's grandfather, the Rev. Smith, officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Joseph McIntosh, vocalist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown of ivory taffeta featuring a sweetheart neckline and ruched waistband accented with beaded and crystal applique. She carried a bouquet of roses, sunflowers and lilies. Melissa Ard and Kristen Ard, sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Sorrells, Tiffany Morris, Tiffany Matthews, Lauren Pritchard, Tianna Powell and Jonni Smith. Raegan Smith, niece of the bridegroom, and Maggie Harper, cousin of the bride, served as flower girls. Patrick Smith, brother of the bridegroom, and Adam Hall served as best men. Groomsmen were Chad Arrants, Stevie Davis, Richard Matthews, Jamie Richardson, Witt Dority and Burke Lester. Brantley Smith, nephew of the bridegroom, and Jackson Harper, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearers. Also participating were Victoria Arrants, Megan Bradley, Emilie Amerson and Dalyn Smith. The bride's parents held the reception at San Souci Farms. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the Sublette Pond House in Mayesville.
