| HIST | Edgar N. Heady Edgar Neal Heady, 54, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Aiken, he was a son of the late Harry Neal Heady and the late Valrie Mimbs Heady. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church and was the former owner and operator of Heady’s Carpet Cleaning in Aiken. He was an avid guitar player and fisherman. Survivors include two sisters, Ann D. Payne (Jimmy) of Sumter and Shelvie D. Hutchinson Smith (Herschel) of Aiken; several nieces; and one nephew. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister. Memorials may be made to the Crosswell Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 604 Mathis St., Sumter, SC 29150.
