Married Sudie Herring 1893. Moved to Mexia, Texas where he farmed. Both Elbert Lee abd Roy Duffie were born in Mexia. Moved to Marlin, Texas (oil business).
Recorded in the Groesbeck County Courthouse was information regarding the purchase of property in Coolidge by M. D. and Sudie Lynam. On November 21, 1904, M. D. and Sudie purchased Lots Five and Six of Block Ten in Coolidge. He made a $10 note in Mart on May 15, 1907. He was ordained Deacon September 29, 1907, by Groesbeck Church at the request of Brushy Creek Church. Marshall Duffy wrote to his sister, Mary Bailey, in Roy Alabama, from Angus, Texas, on February 3, 1916. The letterhead on which the letter was written read "M. D. & Lee Lynam, Oil, Gas, and Water Well Contractors, Thrall, Texas." The family moved to Bishop Texas in 1917. He wrote her on August 18, 1919, from Bishop, Texas, and the letterhead on which it reads "Lynam Oil Company, Capital Stock $50, 000.00, Bishop, Texas, M. D. Lynam, President, C. J. Jenkins, Vice-President, B. E. Kinder, Secretary-Treasurer, JNO. T. Bartlett, Manager. He said Roy was running the garage (Lynam Auto Company), and Lee was helping with the oil business. On January 8, 1910, M. D. and Sudie purchased 125 acres at a cost of $4,515. This was recorded January 11, 1910. Notes: Gwen Tilley
