She is employed as an elementary school counselor by Wake County Public School System in Raleigh. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Hazel Gibbons Reynolds of Turbeville and the late Thomas Alfred Reynolds of Wetumpka, Alabama. He graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor of science degree. He is employed as a project manager for SEMWorks, a higher education consulting firm. The wedding is planned for Dec. 13, 2014, at Manning United Methodist Church. Posted in Engagements on Sunday, June 1, 2014 Buddin-Black 25 Jan 2015 Sarah Marie Black and Charles Reynolds “Renny” Buddin were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Manning United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Cleveland (Theresa) Black of Greensboro, North Carolina. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Thompson Sr. of Alcolu and Mr. and Mrs. James Cleveland Black Sr. of Manning. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at North Carolina State University and her Master of Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed as a school counselor at Fuller Magnet Elementary School in Raleigh. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Albert “Chuck” (Pamela) Buddin of Manning. He is also the grandson of Ms. Hazel Gibbons Reynolds of Turbeville and the late Thomas Alfred Reynolds of Wetumpka, Alabama and the late Mr. and Mrs. William James Buddin Sr. of Manning. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He is employed as a project manager with SEMWorks, a higher education consulting firm in Greensboro. The Reverend Michael Ray Lowder of Midway Presbyterian Church of New Zion officiated the ceremony. Music selections were provided by Robert Joseph Baker, pianist; as well as Gerald Dwight Ball of Mars Hill, North Carolina who entertained arriving reception guests with holiday piano selections. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Black. She wore a stunning Allure gown of ivory satin which featured anintricately embroidered lace bodice, a full, English net skirt and Swarovski crystal beading at the sweetheart neckline and dropped waist. Satin buttons adorned the length of the dress including the chapel-length train, a feature that was replicated in the couple’s wedding cake. A matching fingertip veil of lace and crystal appliqués completed the bride’s trousseau. The new Mrs. Buddin carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas, white Vendela roses, miniature calla lilies, blue delphinium and accents of lavender lisianthus. The bouquet was wrapped in antique lace and satin and fastened with the bride’s Great-Grandmother Cuttino’s cameo brooch. Lauren Danielle Black of Sanford, North Carolina, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Nell Black of Manning, South Carolina; Tyler Leigh Hunt of Greensboro; Dianna Christine Beaver of Greensboro; Lindsay Nicole Ross of Greensboro; Christina Elizabeth Le of Raleigh; Sarah Lee Schmucker of Raleigh and Corley Louise Surratt of Raleigh. Harrison Boyd Buddin of Manning, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were James Cleveland Black III of Greensboro; John Landon Black of Manning; Justin Adam Currie of Manning; Clark Reid Mattison of Zionsville, Indiana; Patrick Joseph Hurrie of Fairmouth, Massachusetts; William Markham Ballard of Columbia and Bradley Laverne Anderson of Greenville, South Carolina. Other attendants included Miss Finley Sparks Jones of Columbia, flower girl, Master Wesley Crain Thompson of New Zion, ring bearer and ushers Benjamin Lewis Riedlinger, Zachary Allen Sipes and Derrick Matthew Winje, all of Raleigh. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the historic O’Donnell House in Sumter, South Carolina. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Owens Farm in Summerton, South Carolina. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Barcelona, Spain. They now make their home in Garner, North Carolina.
