Born in Patrick County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Raymond Troy Spencer and Florence Jane Roberson (Charles). He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by: a son, Brad Spencer; a stepdaughter, Sheila Solomon; a sister, Mary Ellen Nolen (Carl); grandchildren, Krista Bullard and Brittany Mason, Melissa Halbert (Mitchell), Ryne Kesterson (Amanda), Daniel Solomon and Matthew Solomon; and great-grandchildren, Austin Bullard, Ethan Halbert, Blake Mason, Abigail Halbert and Elizabeth Bullard. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Kesterson (Guy), and a brother, Gary Lee Roberson (Linda). The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held after the visitation on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating.
