Barnes, died on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her home. Born on Nov. 25,1965, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lila Truesdale Gamble and Julian Simmons. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John Barnes; a son, John Thomas Barnes; stepmother, Terri Simmons; a brother, Ryan Reaves Jr. (Tiffany); a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Heidi Lynch. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made sent to Amedisys Hospice Care, 198 E. Wesmark Blvd., Suite 2, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1, 2, 3] | |
