She is employed by Palmetto Health Tuomey as a patient access specialist. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Compton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Smith. He graduated in 2008 from Thomas Sumter Academy and in 2012 from Clemson University. He is employed by Black River Electric Cooperative, Inc., as an engineer. The wedding is planned for June 12, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Gary and Leonette Adkins of Raleigh, North Carolina, and the granddaughter of the late James and Ruby Coke of Six Mile and the late Theodore and Joyce Adkins of Clemson. She graduated in 2013 from Appalachian State University. She is employed by Palmetto Health Tuomey. The bridegroom is the son of LeRoy and Georgia Compton of Sumter, and the grandson of the late Theodore and Mary Smith of Dillon and the late Marion and Mae Compton of Sumter. He graduated in 2008 from Thomas Sumter Academy and in 2012 from Clemson University. He is employed as an engineer by Black River Electric Cooperative, Inc. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Williams officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Faye Carraway, organist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a simple, satin gown from David's Bridal and a veil made by her mother from her own veil worn in 1981. She carried a bouquet made by her mother of purple and gold silk flowers. Brooklynn Adkins served as maid of honor, with Suzann Schrader as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anya Tilly and Shannon Zeiders. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Storm Smith, Pierce Roberts, Joshua Soileau and Austin Finley. James Schrader served as ring bearer. Also participating was James Randall Adkins. The bride's parents held the reception at Serendipity Caf and Catering of Sumter.
