- Had two sons named John. Angus led 10,000 Highlanders in the battle of Bannockburn. Succeeded his brother, Alexander, in 1308. His brother being a supporter of King Edward I of England lost the succession in his family, and forfeited his estates after Robert the Bruce defeated the King.

I believe Mor means large and Og means small.
It was Angus Og who as leader of the Island clans helped Robert the Bruce defeat the English at the battle of Bannockburn. It has been reported that he led 5,000 men and was a deciding factor in the battle. Angus returned to the Isles and in 1326 he died and was given a royal burial on the sacred Isle of Iona.
