| HIST | Dennie and Zennie were twins. Dennie Davis Posted Wednesday, January 30, 2013 1:00 am Willard Dennie Davis, 63, precious husband of Connie Cantlon Davis, went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 28, 2013. Born May 28, 1949, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Jess Willard Davis and Sadie Lou Davis. Dennie was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He retired from Santee Print Works after 31 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Davis was a loving husband and father and enjoyed making his family laugh. Survivors include his loving wife; two daughters, Kimberly Afify (Faisal) of Binghamton, N.Y., and Tammy Floyd (Sam) of Kingstree; and three sisters, his twin, Zennie Harshman (Gary) of Sumter, and Joan Mixon (Perry) and Pamela D’Angelo, both of Manning. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Bochman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ervin McKenzie, Keith Hodge, Roy Bowman, Ronald McDaniel, Kevin Robinson and Mark Healon. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Hodge, Eldridge Davis, Russell Elmore and Dargan Hodge. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, Children’s Church Camp Fund, 2445 Old Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
