"Tripp" Lowder III, 46, husband of Belinda Fay Tisdale Lowder, died on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia. Born on Dec. 7, 1975, in Sumter, he was a son of Wilbur E. "Will" Lowder Jr. and Patsy Ann Windham Lowder. He was employed by Becton-Dickinson. In his youth, he excelled at football and baseball. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bicycling, gardening and coaching softball. Survivors include his wife; parents; and three children, Mary Lowder, Anna Lowder and Ethan Lowder. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Mosier officiating. Burial will be in Brunson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Hall, Lane Osteen, Justin Sauls, Mike Watson, Wesley Tisdale and Bert Watts. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 30 Bridgepoint Drive.
