Kurzenberger, died on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. Born in Sumter on Aug. 14, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jordan P. Broughton and Dorothy Redden Broughton. Mrs. Kurzenberger was the former owner of Reflections Consignment Clothing. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, George N. Kurzenberger III and his wife, Heather, of Charleston; one daughter, Elizabeth Marie Kurzenberger Weir and her husband, R.T., of Sumter; four grandchildren, Abigail Grace Hill, Everett Hill and Noah Hill, all of Lugoff, and Sara Jane Kurzenberger of Charleston; two sisters, Lila Payne and her husband, Al, of Sumter, and Brenda Gregory and her husband, Tom, of Sumter. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stephen Williams officiating. Mrs. Kurzenberger's ashes will be spread over Edisto Beach, the place she loved so dearly, at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
