| HIST | GABRIEL PATRICK BUCKNER Posted Tuesday, November 11, 2025 9:43 am Gabriel Patrick Buckner, 10, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 2015, in Greenville, he was the son of Jeremy Buckner and Markie Healon. Gabriel loved trips to the beach, sleepovers with Aunt Coco and riding in Pappy’s truck with his arm out the window to feel the breeze. His favorite snacks were Chester’s Cheese Puffs and Goldfish crackers. He loved going to church, watching "Gunsmoke" with Pappy and cuddling with Grammy. Survivors in addition to his parents include his paternal grandparents, Pat and Phyllis Buckner; maternal grandparents, Mark and Babs Healon and Candi and Darian Quiroz; aunts, Courtney Moss (Mike), Ferris Buckner, Zanne Healon (Brayden Roark), Isabella Quiroz, Carley Wharton and Ella Healon; a special great-aunt, Susan Parnell; special friends, Pressley “Pressy” Wilkie and Lincoln Fender; his father’s fiancé, Jordan Bizzell; and other extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at Bethesda Church of God officiated by the Rev. Al Sims. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilkie, Phillip Wilkie, Mike Moss, Alex Floyd, Mark Buckner and Dewayne Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wonderfully Made Class of Bethesda Church of God. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Hands of Hope Hospice, 136 Stonemark Lane, Ste. 100B, Columbia, SC, 29210, or Prisma Health Richland Children’s Hospital, Attn: Christy Fink, 7 Richland Medical Park Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.
