| HIST | at death- she had 6 grandchildren SARA B. CAIN Sara Barnette Cain, 91, widow of retired U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. William O. Cain, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, in Winter Park, Fla. Born in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of the late Henry William and Ida Smith Barnette. Mrs. Cain was baptized in Grace Baptist Church and was a member of First Baptist Church, Winter Park. Surviving are two sons, William Cain of Austin, Texas, and Richard Cain of Winter Park; two daughters, Sara Cain Buescher of Arlington, Va., and Margaret Cain Cole of Oviedo, Fla.; a brother, Smith Barnette of Rock Hill; a sister, Evelyn Atwell of Nashville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday at Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
