Ward, age 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 18, 1939, to Julian and Lizzie Mae Fulmer in Sumter. Nannette was a native of S.C., a longtime resident of Minnesota and most recently of Toledo, Ohio. She had lifetime involvement in and support of world missions and intercessory prayer ministries. Nannette was a wonderful cook and enjoyed business and mission travel with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Nannette is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dick Ward; son, David (Lisa) Ward; daughter, Nancy Lee Ward; grandchildren, Austin and Abbey; sister, Jeanie (Jimmie) Williams; and brother-in-law, Frank Singleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Singleton. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home in Sumter with the Rev. Bill Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
