GAYMON Posted Sunday, November 18, 2007 7:00 pm Alma Hatchell Gaymon, 89, widow of Archie J. Gaymon, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Randleson Amanda Hatchell and the late Pency Ivy Hutchinson Hatchell. Mrs. Gaymon was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Pioneer Dress Co. Surviving are two sons, James Timothy Gaymon and Harry Lee Gaymon and wife, Nora, all of Sumter; a daughter, Claudette Gaymon Jackson and husband, George, of Sumter; a sister, Doris H. Gaillard of Sumter; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Revs. Greg Pressley and Cheryl Kammerman officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be George Ronald Jackson, Eric Shane Gaymon, Brandon Lee Gaymon, Timothy Hugh Gaymon, Cameron Martin Jackson and Timothy Hugh Gaymon Jr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
