JACKSON Posted Friday, March 2, 2018 6:00 am Agnes Edel Nicholes Jackson, 87, widow of Albert M. "A.M." Jackson, died on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Lake Marion Nursing Home in Summerton, where she received loving care. Born on April 28, 1930, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Edel Barkley Nicholes and the late Tully Winkler Nicholes. Mrs. Jackson was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she taught the three-year-old Sunday school class and church hostess for many years. She retired from Sumter School District 2. Survivors include three sons, Larry M. Jackson (Angela), Micheal W. Jackson (Michelle) and Donald C. Jackson (Sheena); three grandsons, Brian C. Jackson (Pam), Wesley N. Jackson and Stuart L. Jackson; three grandchildren, Weston Reid (Anita), Tiffany Harrison (Stewart) and Tyler Reid; and two great-grandchildren, Stella Grayce Harrison and Eli Reid. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Fraser, the Rev. Jamie Williams and the Rev. Henry Stanford officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2431 Bethel Church Road, Sumter, SC 29154. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
