Born on July 1, 1955, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Hugee and Martha Irene Davis Hodge. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Clarendon School District 2 with 33 years of service. She was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She is survived by her daughter, Kendra B. Baltzegar (Larry) of Manning; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Samantha and Lillian Baltzegar; her sister, Hulaine Windham (Sonny) of Manning; special nephew, Zeb Windham (Hailey) of Manning; special niece, Kathryn Warren (Benjamin) of Batesburg; four great-nieces, Adalyn, Emma and Olivia Windham and Kennedy Warren; and an adopted sister, Johnnie Broadway (Wesley) of Camden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her daughter, S.A. Barkley. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Home Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Barwick and the Rev. Arthur Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Eric Brown, Mel Brown, Zeb Windham, Ben Warren, Jonathan Baltzegar, Randy Barkley and Andy Barkley. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 1108 Stone Road, Manning.
