| HIST | Beth Green Barkley Thursday, January 8th, 1953 - Sunday, August 20th, 2023 Obituary Beth Green Barkley, 70, widow of Albert David Barkley, Sr., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Born January 8, 1953, in Reynolds, GA, she was a daughter of the late Felton Sylvester Green and the late Laura Ruth Helton. Survivors include a son, Albert David Barkley, Jr. (Lisa); a daughter, Michelle Barkley Pack; five grandchildren, Katelynn Ridgill (Hunter), Jesse Bruce (Alyssa), Wyman Pack, Jr., Brooke Barkley, and Chase Pack; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bruce and Alaina Bruce; and a sister, Sammie Moss. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Barkley. A funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wyman Pack, Jr., Chase Pack, Jesse Bruce, Hunter Ridgill, Austin Amerson, and Brian Sliwonick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
