DINKINS Robert Ross Dinkins, 73, husband of Mae Haston Dinkins, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Doby Dinkins and the late Annie Ross Dinkins. Mr. Dinkins was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was a retired realtor and home builder. He was a lifelong member of the Sumter Lions Club. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, James Nat Dinkins of Sumter, Matthew Colin Dinkins and wife, Stephanie, of Hawaii and Andrew Ross Dinkins of Anderson. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Tirzah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dalzell, with the Rev. Walt Kendall officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Sumter Lions Club. The family will receive friends at the home, Loretta Drive Extension from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 230 Alice Drive, Sumter, SC 29150, or to a building fund of one's choice of another church.
