| HIST | Wanda A. Neal Wanda Acklin Neal, 87, of Goose Creek, and formerly of Sumter, widow of James Ray Neal Sr., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011. The family will receive friends at Parks Funeral Home from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Graveside services will be private. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mrs. Neal was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Harley A. and Birdie Hatfield Hutchinson. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her two daughters, Janice Neal Meyer of Summerville and Faye Neal of Goose Creek; one son, James Ray Neal Jr. of James Island; two sisters, Lottie Johnson and Antonia Bradley, both of Sumter; and four grandchildren, 1st Lt. Adam Neal Meyer, Matthew Neal Meyer, James Ryan Neal and Lillian Rae Neal; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North St., Summerville, SC 29483.
