FLOYD Posted Sunday, June 18, 2017 6:00 am MANNING -Julie Ann Jackson Floyd, 77, beloved wife of Paul Eugene Floyd Jr., died Friday, June 16, 2017, at National Health Care of Sumter. She was born on July 25, 1939, at the farm home of her grandfather, the late Moultrie Reid Jackson. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jehu Jackson and Mary Julia Bradham Jackson. She was a homemaker, a former member of the Manning Azalea Garden Club and, for many years, she enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels in the Manning area. She was a member of the Huguenot Society of South Carolina. Until her health failed, she was an active member of Manning United Methodist Church and the Nelle Wells Circle. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, of Manning; a son, Paul E. "Gene" Floyd III (Ericha) of Manning; two daughters, Janie Floyd Ard (Aubrey) of Manning and Carol Floyd Lepp of Lexington; a stepmother, Katherine Jackson McClam; a brother, Thomas J. "Tommy" Jackson Jr.; three sisters, Helen Jackson Newman (Walton), Terry Jackson Conant (Scott) and Kay Jackson Finley (Michael), all of Manning; two stepbrothers, Ransome Coleman of Spartanburg and Charles Coleman (Suzy) of St. Matthews; a son-in-law, Ted Lepp of Lexington; seven grandchildren, who were her pride and joy and the love of her life, Albert Ard (Shelley) of Blythewood, Kevin Ard (Crystal) of Cordova, Letitia Ard of Greenville, Madison Lepp and Wilson Lepp, both of Lexington, Riley Floyd and Copeland Floyd, both of Manning; and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Ard and Julie Ard, both of Blythewood, Josiah Ard and Matthias Ard, both of Cordova. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Manning United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. James C. Adams and the Rev. Kevin J. Ard officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Ard, Paul Kennedy, Michael Epperson, Scott Jackson Jr., Dr. Jackie Epperson and Travis Brown Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bradham Jr., Dr. Bobby Bradham, Samuel Plowden, Barry Ham and Eddie Barrett. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence, 519 Moye Drive, Manning. The family would like to thank the staff of Magnolia Hall at National Health Care of Sumter and Agape Hospice for their loving care.
