| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina ESTER DONNA BENENHALEY SHARP Posted Saturday, September 9, 2023 6:00 am Ester Donna Benenhaley Sharp, 67, wife of Rodney Sharp, died on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at her home. Born on Aug. 24, 1956, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Walter Benenhaley and Jessie Lee Benenhaley. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two sons, Michael Stowe (Janae) and Justin Smith (Sarah); a daughter, Jessica Ann Smith; three brothers, Stanley Benenhaley (Vanessa), Kevin Benenhaley and Robert Benenhaley; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy "Sonny" Benenhaley. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, one hour prior to the service, at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
