Altman Sr., died on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late James and Roxie Holladay Mathis. Surviving are two sons, Alfred Altman (Betty) and Randy Altman (Judy), all of Sumter; a sister, Emily Gayle of Sevierville, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Altman; a daughter, Nancy Ardis; a grandson, Andrew Altman; two brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Timmons officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 1732 Kolb Road.
